CEWIA Tech respects users' privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Explorer Compass uses information and resources available on the device.
Explorer Compass does not require an account, does not contain advertising, and does not send your location to CEWIA Tech servers. Location and sensor information used by the app is processed locally on the device to provide orientation and navigation features.
1. Location information
With the user's permission, Explorer Compass may access the device's location while the app is in use.
Location may be used to:
- display latitude and longitude;
- calculate true north;
- perform calculations related to the apparent position of the Sun and Moon;
- determine the appropriate celestial reference according to the hemisphere;
- calculate the position of celestial references used by the app.
These calculations are performed locally on the device. CEWIA Tech does not receive or store on its servers the location used by Explorer Compass.
Users may deny or revoke location permission through Android settings. If permission is not granted, certain location-dependent features, including coordinates, true north, and astronomical references, may be unavailable or have limited functionality.
2. Device sensors
Explorer Compass uses sensors available on the device, particularly the magnetic sensor (magnetometer) and motion/orientation sensors, to determine direction and provide compass functionality.
Sensor readings are processed locally and are not sent to CEWIA Tech servers.
3. Personal information
Explorer Compass does not require users to create an account and does not directly request a name, address, phone number, email address, or other personal information for normal use of the app.
4. Data storage and transmission
CEWIA Tech does not operate a server intended to receive or store the location or sensor readings used by Explorer Compass.
App preferences, such as theme and display options, may be stored locally on the device.
5. Advertising and tracking
Explorer Compass does not contain advertising, and CEWIA Tech does not use the app's location or sensor information for advertising or user profiling.
6. Third-party services
Explorer Compass does not depend on an external CEWIA Tech service to perform its compass and astronomical calculations. These calculations are performed directly on the device.
The Android operating system and location services available on the device may be subject to the privacy policies of their respective providers.
7. Permissions
The app may request location permission when required to provide features that depend on geographic position. Users can control this permission through Android settings.
8. Children
Explorer Compass was not designed for the purpose of collecting personal information from children and does not provide its own user registration system.
9. Security
Because the main data used by Explorer Compass is processed locally on the device and is not stored on CEWIA Tech servers, the need to transmit this data over the internet is reduced.
10. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if new features are introduced or if the way the app handles data changes. The updated version will be published on this page.
